Interlibrary Loan

The ITS Library provides interlibrary loans and photocopies. Requests for loans of material must be made through a local library, such as an academic, special, corporate, or public library. Requests for photocopies may be made directly to the ITS library.

ILL Prices
UC Libraries:

  • Loans - Free
  • Photocopies - Free, up to 40 pages

ITS students at UC Davis, UC Irvine and UCLA:

  • Loans - Free
  • Photocopies - Free, up to 40 pages

California public / federal agencies, libraries, CSU, and community college libraries:

  • Loans - $25 per item
  • Photocopies - $15 per item, up to 40 pages

Other state DOT and federal transportation agencies:

  • Loans - $25 per item
  • Photocopies - $15 per item, up to 40 pages

Private sector, including private colleges and universities:

  • Loans - $30 per item
  • Photocopies - $20 per item, up to 40 pages

International libraries:

  • Loans - $35 per item
  • Photocopies - $20 per item, up to 40 pages

 
*  Normal service: Materials will be shipped out by First Class/Air Mail the next business day once the request is confirmed.
*  Rush handling: Including same day delivery, delivery by fax, email, FedEx will have an additional $20 charge per request.
*  FedEx delivery: Material sent by FedEx is available if an account number is provided, and confirmation is received before 2pm Pacific Time for same day delivery.
*  Please note: Due to staff time, our ILL unit is open Tuesday through Friday. There may be days when we are unable to respond to a request within the same day. However, you will be contacted as soon as we have a chance to process your request.
